Rex is a small unincorporated community in Henry County, tucked along the US-23 and Flat Shoals Road corridor south of Atlanta. The area has grown steadily as families have moved further out from the city looking for more space, and that growth has brought more traffic. SR-138 and the roads feeding into Stockbridge see a lot of daily commuter movement, which means more chances for serious crashes. The mix of residential streets and busier commercial roads creates real hazards for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike.
The climate here doesn't help. Georgia summers bring heavy afternoon thunderstorms that make roads slick fast. Winters occasionally drop ice on bridges and overpasses with little warning. Rex sits at a low elevation in the Piedmont zone, and the flat terrain means standing water after rain is common on local roads. When road conditions contribute to a crash, that matters legally, and we know how to build those facts into a case.
